I appreciate your ceramic forms as well as your writing. I studied ceramics and weaving at Wayne State University in Detroit. I worked more with fibers because it was more easily done in Detroit and more portable as I moved around Michigan.
I later turned to writing art reviews and took my daughter along as a baby to art galleries.
Now my daughter is an industrial designer and graphic/web designer.
I have returned to the studio via poetry and threads. Detroit was not gray when I wrote about the lilacs…it was filled with sunlight and the lilacs were in bloom.
Today was a glorious autumn day in Detroit with trees blazing crimson, gold, and orange in the sunlight. The air was crystalline and the sky was pure bright blue. We expect rain overnight to sustain the 240 crocus bulbs I planted in our front lawn. I already anticipate the joy of seeing them when the snow melts next spring.
